B M S College of Engineering is one of the prestigious colleges and the first private sector initiative to achieve excellence in education. Started with only 03 undergraduate courses, BMSCE today offers 13 Undergraduate & 16 Postgraduate courses both in conventional and emerging areas. 15 of its departments are recognized as Research Centres in Science, Engineering, Architecture and Management. The college has been effectively practicing outcome based education.

The institution is recognized by AICTE and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. BMSCE is the only institution from India adopted by the Melton Foundation, USA. BMSCE is TEQIP Phase I and Phase II Institute. The college is accredited with A Grade by NAAC and NBA. BMSCE has the unique distinction of being one of the first Institutions in India identified by National Board of Accreditation for evaluation under Tier-I NBA Accreditation Washington accord.

The college has one of the largest student populations amongst engineering colleges in Karnataka. Currently, about 5000 students are pursuing their higher education. The academic performance of the students has been exceptional. The Institution has an excellent Placement and Recruitment Cell. The undergraduate Programmes of the College have been awarded the Autonomous Status by the Government/University from the academic year 2008-09 onwards.

The organization has well-qualified and experienced faculty. The institution has Collaborative & Extension Activities by way of MOUs with various Governmental and Non-Governmental organizations for fostering academics, research and innovation. BMSCE has a strong alumni base of over 35,000, most of them occupying coveted positions in various Educational, Industrial and Research organizations. The college is being ranked consistently among the top 20 engineering colleges in the country by surveys conducted by various media sources.

BMSCE has completed 69 years of dedicated service in the field of engineering education. On the eve of its 70^th year celebration, the college is organising seven conferences. IEEE International Advance Computing Conference is one among the series initiated to provide a cutting edge in the fast changing dimensions of computing technology. IACC started in the year 2009 at Thapar University. It has progressed over the past four years and IACC-2015 marks the fifth in the series. It certainly stands as one the revolutionary conferences sponsored by IEEE. The conference has experienced continuous interest and contributions from various academic and industrial research groups.

The Computer Science Cluster (Department of ISE, CSE and MCA) has taken up the initiative for steering the event. The motivation and dynamic potency for the conference is accomplished by IEEE Bangalore Section, IEEE Computer Society-India Council, IEEE-WIE Bangalore Section and TEQIP. The notion of the conference is to provide a high profile platform for latest research contributions. Premier IT companies have volunteered to support for various activities during the conference. Extreme Networks, Ruckus Wireless, Binary Systems, Lenovo and Microsoft have provided their involvement for exhibits and sponsorship.

The conference is a phenomenal gathering of industry and academia to display major achievements in research and development. The innovative ideas and product exhibits are being showcased by premier IT industries. Invited speeches are being delivered by profound dignitaries from India and abroad. It is indeed a great prospect for all the participants to appertain the occasion. The conference is a platform for researchers to present the state-of-the-art expansions and technical elucidations in the areas of high performance computing, advances in communication networks, advance algorithms, artificial intelligence, image processing, data management and social network analysis. A cluster of workshops is the highlight for postgraduate and undergraduate students. A colloquium for doctoral students promotes collaboration with proficient researchers to share views and adopt best practices. An exclusive discussion forum is envisioned for entrepreneurship and development of incubation centre.

The General Chair and chairs of all committees have taken great inventiveness with a vision to take forward the happening of the conference. It has been sincere and earnest efforts of the committee members and volunteers for their arrangements. IACC is definitely a value added event to the international research community.

The year 2015 has been very special for us at BMS College of Engineering as we are celebrating the 70^th Anniversary of our formation. To mark the event of completing seven decades of service and contribution to the society in the area of Engineering Education, BMSCE is proudly organizing seven International Conferences this year. As part of planned celebrations, the cluster of IT related departments (Computer Science, Information Science, Master of Computer Application) is organizing the 5^th IEEE International Advance Computing Conference.

On behalf of the IACC 2015 organizing committee, I am honoured and delighted to welcome you all for the conference on Advanced Computing Technologies. It is a matter of pride to be hosting the conference here in Bangalore which is home for the majority of the IT professionals in the country and is rightly known as the silicon valley of India and also as the IT Capital of India. In the era where thoughts become concepts and concepts becoming a reality within the shortest possible time frame, this conference will be a major boost for the technology evolution itself.

The scope of the conference is the analysis, design, implementation, deployment and evaluation of advanced topics of computing. It aims to provide a high profile, leading edge forum for researchers, engineers, standard developers and students to showcase their latest research activities, techniques and experiences in the areas of computing. It will be a prodigious gathering of industry and academia to display major achievements in the world of computing. This is a perfect platform for all the young and experienced minds alike in exploring and sharing knowledge around the computing technology and its scope.

International Advance Computing Conference marks one of the flagship conferences of IEEE. The genesis of IACC began in 2009 at Thapar University. Since then, it is evolved and progressed over the past five years. I am very glad that the 5^th IACC is being organized at BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore with its grandeur. The conference provides high profile platform researchers, engineers, developers and students to showcase their latest research activities, techniques and experiences.

There has been a considerable increase in the number of quality manuscripts being received in the conference. The number of sponsors and participants are rising every year. A good citation index has been observed for the papers presented in previous IACC. The authors feedback reveal that they receive good input and constructive comments for their research work. The suggestions and participation in panel discussions help them to improvise on their methodologies. The conference has noticed substantial success in the previous years.

The theme of the conference resonates throughout invited talks, oral sessions, poster presentations, exhibits and a set of workshops. An elite platform is set up for research scholars, industry experts and entrepreneur aspirants.
