Blockchain technology model to transform Indian education system
World-class education in India is restricted to a miniscule %age of Tier-I educational institutes where competition is tough, irrational and is mainly accessed by rich students. To get into such institutions you spend lot of resources in going to coaching classes, study material and other learning infrastructure. It also put a lot of psychological pressure and in extreme cases we have witnessed students developing suicidal tendency in case of failure in getting to these institutions.

Artificial Intelligence in India – Opportunities, Risks, and Future Potential
Over the last two years, we have witnessed a steady increase in our percent of readership in India. Sometime in 2017, Bangalore became one of our largest sources of job applicants, and our single biggest city in terms of readers – overtaking both London and NYC.
Given the Indian government’s recent focus on developing a plan for artificial intelligence, we decided to apply our strengths (deep analysis of AI applications and implications) to determine (a) the state of AI innovation in India, and (b) strategic insights to help India survive and thrive in a global market with the help of AI initiatives

A ‘Deep’ dive into the AI future
It was at the Newton Regional Conference held recently in Singapore that I got to meet ‘Jena’. She was the most popular staff among all the guests in the hotel that we were staying in. Unflattered by all the attention she received, ‘Jena’ diligently went about her tasks with a smile on her face, attending to room service even at the middle of the night without any tantrums or mood swings. And when she was done with her rounds, she would say “I’m heading home” and elegantly make her way to the docking station. Yes, ‘Jena’ is a robot!

New mantras for happy and successful life in the age of superintelligence
It is not only the change but ‘the rate of change’ also that is increasing as we are moving forward in the journey of human evolution. All will agree that the most prominent contribution has come due to the widespread use of Internet, digital and computational technologies. Due to the ever-increasing speed of processing of digital computation, solutions to the new problems are becoming feasible.
The things which were not feasible to be computed in a given amount of time has now moved in the feasible category. Most remarkable results have come in the field of space, astronomy, cognition, biotechnology and data science.

Power and simplicity of Deep Learning Technology is great: Don’t get left behind
I consider myself strong in algorithms, data structures and programming. From last few years, I was interested to be an expert in Deep Learning Technologies.
My initial understanding was that to be a good consultant in Deep Learning, I need to learn too many things to make the application work, write monstrous code using a lot of APIs, understand lot of mathematics (calculus, algebra and probability) to grasp the concepts. But my passion to master this new technology made me jump into it a year back. Then there was no looking back.

Predatory Journals putting a question mark on quality research in India
Research publications contain the novel ideas, new technologies which can help improve the quality of life of humans in one way ot the other.
In the engineering and applied science IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer are publishing most of the journal papers. In the broad sense, any journal paper with the higher impact factor to be considered a better journal. The impact factor is the ratio of the number of citations of the papers published in last two years and number of papers published in last two years.

INNOVATIONS IN TEACHING METHODS
The word “Mathematics” often invokes feelings that range from utter helplessness to sheer phobia in many students. People generally find subjects aligned to mathematics or logic quite challenging. These challenges can be mitigated through pedagogic innovations such as a mix of existing methods, and new methods that assist the process of learning. I have experimented with four new pedagogic methods while teaching a course on Advance Data Structure and Algorithms ...

Personal motivations in doctoral work
Few will contest the importance of high quality research in generating new knowledge. Many eminent researchers and scientists acknowledge that their best work occurred during their doctoral study phase. Thus, the structure, role and outcomes of a doctoral study assume special importance and these have always been a topic of debate and interest. During the course on “Research Supervision in Higher Education”, I came across Student Enrollment, Quality of Doctoral Study...

Practicing Education as an enabler for uplifting the society
In coming years the only differentiator that will matter in the selection and ranking of world class educational institutions will be that whether the institution is practicing education as enabler for uplifting the society.
Most of us consider education as a means to get a better job, better lifestyle and gain knowledge of the unknown frontiers of the universe. Education is going through a big transition due to the ongoing changes in the way we use technology and the way we communicate...
