Being a premier university teaching courses for degrees in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and their applications, it is natural and appropriate that 4th IEEE International Advance Computing Conference is being held to bring together students, technologists and academician to understand the state of art and to peep into the future. Keeping in mind the convergence of computational technology, information technology, communication and their applications that is taking place and that is going to take place in near future, the participants will be discussing the latest development in these areas. The life of technology in the ICT is now as short as six months and the technologist has to literally run to keep up with the ideas that can be marketed. The Research and Development activity in this area is fast paced and developments are sudden and path breaking. Such conferences usefully act as fora to keep these new ideas in their proper perspective so that technology can move forward. I wish all the participants good success during the conference.
